88 GT help

My GT is making a winding/whining noise from the pulley area. Most likely the bottom middle. Noise is faint when in idle and will increase with increase in RPM. Does anyone have an idea of what the problem could be?

He is probably right. The bottom of your waterpump should have a small hole at the bottom called a "weep" hole. If the pump starts to go you will usually see coolant dripping from it and may even notice it on the floor. Take the belt off and spin the pulleys by hand. They should give you much resistance at all. Check under the car and look for white chalky stains which could be coolant that dried before hitting the ground. Hope that helps, take care.
