I have a blazer with 180,000 miles on it. it has the auto 4wd selector...put on a used front differential and new vaccum accuator on the fire wall....it seems it takes awhile for the 4wheel drive to disengage....If you make a turn it does the shuddering as if its still in 4wd, but the 2hi light is still on.....it takes about 10-20 minutes for it to go back to normal....any ideas?

233 0r 236 transfer case?
Does yours have the auto 4w button on shifting buttons?
10 to 20 minutes is to long.
Did you match the gear ratio with your old rear end or back rear end?
Are your tires matched set?
Does it help to back up or put it in neutral to get it back in 2W?
Raise front end off of the ground and check for right front axel disengauge when you shift to 2W?

236 transfer case....
- GU6-3:42 RATIO differential.- matched with rear.....
its a push button- Auto 4wd-2Hi 4WD HI,4WD LOW,
tires are matched set....
I changed Upper & Lower Ball Joints
Tie Rods All new both side

Will try the neutral while disengaging

I was wondering if worn wheel bearings could be the problem-They was changed, but im sure they are about due.....

No on wheel bearings.

Get it on a good transmission/transfer case scanner and check it out with the shifting test and for codes.
Post back any codes.

Is the front axel unlocking good?
Does backing up or putting in neutral help get it out of 4W?
does it have a matched set of tires and wheels?

The front axel unlock appears to be good....

have to try the back up neutral

Tires & wheels are matched......

Will hunt down the scanner and see what comes up......

The 236 transfer case needs serviced with the GM blue auto track fluid.
There is a tsb on the shudder problem that involves changing and flushing the fluid.
But if in 2W and front axel unlocked it should not bind up on turning.
You might also check front axel drive shaft for binding on turning.
Good luck
