it was a very long process, but to shorten it up , i had to remove the driver seat for room to remove the driver door panel. then i used a very long, and thing screwdriver to pry open the actuator that comes down on the latch , which is how the latch is locked, it took me a long time to figure this out . need any more info dont hesitate to ask.

I have the same problem! 1993 Chevy Lumina APV, my driver door is jammed shut as well. From the inside, I see the lock go up and down (power locks), but the door will neither open from the inside, nor outside! Will I need a new actuator? Any advice to give my repair guy when fixing it?

You could always roll the windows down and jump in and out of it Dukes of Hazzard style . I kid. The door locks and handles on those years and models are really fragile. I wonder if a person could get a slim jim on the actuator and unlock it without having to take the seat out and the door panel off?

I tried the shim and couldnt get it open that way , I even tried moving the rods by hand once i got the door open. I was useless to me but never hurts to try. And you may laugh but i did the Dukes of Hazzard thing for awhile haha ,, but it got old quick.
