I posted this on another forum but didn't have much luck.

The car is idling the entire video. It begins with the rattling noise. Then I push the clutch all the way to the floor and the noise stops. I repeat this several times in the recording. In the middle of the video I increase the idle a bit so the noise is much louder.
Any ideas what this is? I won't be able to get to this for a bit but I'm just curious. The car was only driven for about 100 miles since being rebuilt and it only started making noise the last 5 miles or so. It shifts fine otherwise.
Thanks

Got any fluid in the transmission? Seems like the input bearing in the engine end of the transmission. Could be the pilot bearing or something else about the clutch but it seems more likely that would be quiet with the clutch pedal out and noisy when you press it in.

There is now but when this first started it was a quart low.
I'm po'd about it because it started on the way back from having been put together. I never thought to check the fluid being as I was driving it home from the shop. It's a long story but it involved a year wait, shop financial problems and the guy's wife committing suicide. I figure at some point someone forgot to top the fluid up and then me not checking it. Except for me having to work on the transmission, the guy did a good job body-wise which is the only thing I wouldn't be able to fix the right way. I'm not good with body work, paint etc.
