04 suburban, 5.3 flex fuel, 62,000 miles.
Just wondering if I have to replace timing chain as part of preventive maintainace? Truck is running fine. Or just replace when needed??

Thanks
Paul

Replace as needed, it should run a long time!

I have 168, 159, and 189 thousand miles on my timing chains, still the originals and no problems (except for the PLASTIC tensioner and guides on my Pontiac :banghead:), but yours should go several hundred thousand easily.
