Does anyone have pics or tips on instaling an Autometer Air/Fuel Gauge? Its on a 2g, you just connnect the wire to the o2 wire right?

IIRC, NO! you have to tap into the wiring to the ECU harness, i cant remeber what ones, but i do remeber tapping my turbo timer in their for A/F readings... and i cant imagine a A/F gauge being any different seeing as how they do the same thing as far as that aspect! :2cents:

Yea you connect to the wire at the ECU. Not sure if you can see that page, but your going to tap into the white wire with a black strip. You would be better of installing JAW though. More accurate.

What is JAW? I am looking at having some more specs of my car in front of me so i know whats going on under the hood. I was looking to get a gauge for the Air/Fuel, Volts, Oil Preassure... Is there something out there that isn't extremely expensive that would be better? Thanks

A narrowband AF guage isnt something you want then, they arent good for much more than a light show. If you really want to know what your AF ratio is, get yourself a wideband. Check the writeups and tech articles, SilverEclipse had one in there about a DIY wideband that all said and done with a display is like $130 if you assemble it IIRC. Also, oil pressure is a good thing to have, but I honestly dont think the volt meter is worth the money.

:1: i have had extremely good luck with my "light show" it is very close to the readings that would be recived from a wideband (i did my own little test at the local dyno) however, wideband is still on my "to do" list... as far a functional gauges on a N/T (as far a function on an N/T goes...) i would probably go with a wideband set up, then a data logger, and something for fuel tuning... (not really all gauges, but you can watch whats going on, and also change some aspects if problems arise...

Narrowband is only somewhat accurate at WOT since that's the only time you get an actual reading that's not all over the charts. Ricky, you don't need a wideband as you're not even close to that. A/F gauges are pointless then also.
Of course unless you like lights...
