Hi I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a dual exhaust for the 2.2 ecotec available . I see dual exhausts on caveliers with the same engine so I wonder if those would work on a GA or if it has a different path for the exhaust for each car. Also what size is the stock piping for a stock exhaust on a grand am.

Nothing I know of is available for any grand ams or cavies.

You'd ahve to go with a custom from an exhaust shop.
Probly run you betweent $250-350. All duals for these are just a single pipe back to a dual muffler.

stock pipe is usualy 1 7/8s, I wouldnt go larger then 2.5" thats plenty for these engines.

There is no true dual exhaust system available because you would need two CAT convertors, the extra 02 sensors, PCM programming. etc. Plus the 2.2 ecotec only has one bank of cylinders so it would be worthless unlike a V8 or V6 engine. However, Pacesetter sells the dual outlet exhaust (Catback system) similar to what you see with Grand Am GTs. It is designed to fit '99 and up Grand Am and Alero with the 2.4L, 2.2L and 3400.

Like JC said you can go up to 2.5" OD but some exhaust backpressure is needed.
