Question : Transmission Fluid

Hi,
Can anyone tell me what is the correct transmission fliud
to use in my 91 Chrysler Le baron 3.0 w/ 3-speed auto.
And is it safe to use a transmission conditioner to smooth
out the trans up shifting as well as down? The car has not
been in use for a few years and the transmission seems to
be a little sluggish. Please advise, thanks

They don't make the correct trans fluid any more. What was it? Dextron I? I really don't remember, I'm sure a Chrysler dealer can tell you what's good to put in it. If you just walk in and perhaps go to their parts section and ask what trans fluid they sell for your car. I asked in another response to you, is your fluid muddy?
