Hello to you
i have a sony VAIO VGN-TX5XN/B latptop. the keys have always been a little weird, they don't always "respond" like you press them, but you need to press them harder for them to register. i figured it was me not pressing them hard enough, got used to it and it was fine.
recently though, it's been missing letters all the time. i often have to go back and edit what i've typed because so many letters are missing. Strangely, this happens most in Internet Explorer, rarely does it happen in MSN or AIM though. so i don't know if it's something wrong with the program or if it's the keyboard. i've tried restarting it, which cures it for a while but it soon returns to missing letters.
Example:
This i typin wit th eyboard mising letter ou.
see what i mean?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Moose.

My first suspicion would be that you need a new keyboard. They aren't expensive and if it's under warranty it will be a simple and quick fix.

Check out your warranty dude!! At least call your problem in before it expires.

Try mozilla Firefox and see if you still have the problem. Also, if it is under warranty send it back. THis problem can come from many different parts of the laptop from the keboard it'self to the ribbon cable it uses, or even a software driver. If you dont want to send it back, try backing up your data and reinstalling the system. All else fails, send it back, you most likely need a new keyboard.
