hey, I'm thinking of buying an Eagle Talon. Im just wondering if anyone knows the power distribution to the wheels on the AWD models? is it 50% per axle? or does most of the power go to the back? just wondering

You're going to have to put money in any car with 168,00 miles on it, even if the previous owner already invested some money in the car. That's just a fact of life.

i know that and dont get me wrong i love my talon
the car is just fun to drive but if i could forsee the problems ending soon i would keep the car every one ive talked to says that its an ongoing battle to keep these cars running and driveing i bought this car off my buddy the very first knight he had it the rocker arm came off and went down in the head 1000 $ after that was fixed the next day the oil pick up fell off in the pan then 2 weeks later the fuel pump stoped grounding at the ecu nothing wrong with the ecu or the f/p ground just had to tie a second ground in then i bought it off him in september i put a cd deck in and the parking lights
stoped working would just blow the fuse as soon as i put it in to kinda fix this problem i pulled my alarm
and deck out and ran the deck off the battery and know to turn on the parking lights i have to put a fuse in and to turn them off i have to pull the fuse
the switch dont work they just come on even in the off position? then the altinater and starter went out no big deal thats normal now i have power surges, idle surges, hard cold starts, needs a new fly wheel, clutch and suspension i take it to my mechanice and he doesnt know wats wrong with it
and proceeds to tell me that its probably electricle
if u have any sugestions that would be cool
i love my talon but sometimes its just to much money

Sorry to hear about all of those problems. it's tough buying a used car, especially with that many miles on it, because you can only guess how the car was treated, maintained, and/or abused.
If you aren't inclined to do all of the work yourself, you're probably right, it isn't worth investing the money into it. Taking it to a shop for everything will cost you an arm and a leg. I also had an experience with a shop completely mis-diagnosing a problem on my Talon. That can be quite costly.
If, however, you are mechanically inclined, and you don't mind spending some time at your local wrecking yard, you can probably get the car running pretty well for not much money at all. Again, though, you need to really seriously consider what kind of abuse the car has seen.
In my case, I have 208,000 miles on my car. I bought it brand new, so I know everything it's been through, and I have done all the maintenance to it except when I got the transmission synchronizers replaced, and a new case for the transmission later on.
I hope everything works out for you, and we're here to help if you run across any questions.

Power distribution on the AWD is equal to front and back. The transfer case is a solid connection to the transmission. Therefore I guess you could say it is 50% per axle.

Mark, I agree with what you said, especially in regards to being mechanically inclined. Though, not being mechanically inclined myself, I find that simple regular maintenance and gentle abuse of the car over the years has kept her in perfect shape.
Maintenance seems to be a common lament among DSM owners. In my local club, I simply suggest that Honda's can be cheap and run forever. But is that the style of car you want? I'll take the regular maintenace for my 18 pounds of boost and looking good at the track!
My $0.02.
