Z3 side mirror removal

Does any one know how to remove the drivers side mirror from the door. Believe this or not I walked past the car and bumped the mirror with my hip and the mirror snapped in half. :mad: Not the glass but the body of the mirror itself. At this point I can get to the screws holding it to the body, but cannot see how I could fasten the new mirror to the door. No access to the screws. Also, do I need to remove the door panel to disconnect the wire. Thanks Ed
