the last few months have been nothing but a dry spell for me. I was super excited to finally get a couple of races yesterday morning around 530am, no traffic on my way to work. Late 90s civic coupe. big wing. looked stock. Im being a good boy and only driving 5 above the limit when this kid who was been behind me for a few minutes, not tailing or anything, swings around and proceeds to pass. YAY!!! I accelerate to pace him until the next red light. He isnt even looking over, but i know hes gona go for it. I get him off the line and pull steadily until im ahead by about 2-2.5 cars doing 90. He gives up and makes a right. I was gona give him a thumbs up too :D
Race #2
10 minutes later i run into a clean looking white rsx ( non type S) with bronze aftermarket rims. (bronze on white =sexy) Surprised to see an older guy driving, maybe mid to late 30s, and he had a passenger. I took him off the line, but not by much. He started to pull around 40, it looked like he was going to pass, but his pull stopped and we went bumper to bumper untill almost 100. ( This was on the street after all ;) ) I even missed my turn, but i didn't care, best race ever! Nods and thumbs up all around. :grinyes:

Good to hear ya got some races in! My friend has a white rsx non type-s and he had bronze rims on it for a while and it looked so sexy...i raced him in the stealth but it was from his chosen speed:frown:, so i lost. His is modded but they are decently quick so its cool that you were even with him, the close ones are the fun ones! Keep it up man!

^lol, it is unfortunate.(no offense). All the TCs in my area, even with i/h/e/etc are hitting 16s. There is only one that ran low 15s, but he's spraying.

silentscream, i heard what happened to zpi, it is unfortunate and disturbing.

Or boosting.

Not really surprising. Half these places are run by hustlers and old school racers who are in it for the cash, a quarter bu inept business people who can't tell the difference between a ballance sheet and a order form, and the rest are actually reputable shops.

The problem is people think these guys care about you and making you happy and such. Not so much. They just want that green stuff that you spend. I've heard horror story about the lot of them, including the big ones like Hennesy. Thats why it takes me forever to mod my car. I want to make sure I'm not dealing with a bunch of dousche bitches who are gonna disapear before they manage to ship out my intake.

These guys were lucky with ZPI, worst case it looks like someone was out maybe five or six grand. Talk to the people who went through Motorex. Some of those guys are out $60k-70k and more.

it does suck, you think you trust someone with your pride and joy, in essence sometimes you really don't know WHO you are trusting your car with. I remember first hearing about ZPI and checking them out. It just felt shady, i never purchased anything there nor do i know anyone who did. its kind of a slap in the face to the scion community as well. oh and fyi kenny, one of the co-owners is now working for turbochargers.com

ha. I see Cassiesman is the same as ever. This is 2008 cassie, i know a snail from a bottle.

The reason why I find it disturbing is because ZPI was pretty big in the TC community. Not big like AMS is to the evo community, but big enough. And i heard the owner went to work for some other company, it's probably turbochargers.com, but whoever wants to know can research the whole damn story.

Yea, I've known a couple people with TC's, and they were always mentioning ZPI when I brought up boosting
