Timing Belt slipped

Last week I had the timing belt replaced on the used 1995 Dodge Caravan that I recently bought. The milage was 83,000 and the belt had never been changed. Everything was fine for several days but after two days I noticed that the engine was runing rough. On the third day I went to the store and it seemed like I was running on less than 6 cylinders. When I came out of the store it was hard to start the car and as I pressed on the gas the car stalled. After that it wouldn't start. I took it back to the shop that had replaced the belt and after several hours they told me that the belt had slipped. They are replacing it at no charge.

From looking at various posts I've begun to wonder if replacing the belt is all that has to be done. Could this slipping have damaged any other parts of the engine, and if so how would I be able to tell. While I'm no mechanic I use to do most of my own repairs but no longer have a place where I can work on the car.

Any advice?

You should have no damage to engine, non interference design.
The timing belt tension pulley may be worn or wasn't tightened.
That is a nasty job to do, you should have the water pump changed at the same time, it will go about a week later.

Ditto to Bernard. Only thing to add is consider changing crank and camshaft seals. Can be a tough call if you haven't seen any oil leaks but it could save you headaches latter. A new tensioner is a good idea. Not familiar with the 3.0 ltr but, if the oil pump is under the timing belt cover, consider changing the pump seals.
