Guys,
I bought my 90 dx from the original owner, a 72 yr. old lady that only had 105,00km on this thing when i got it...she had all service work records etc...
anyway,, before i make anyone slobber and droole,,,, it is a canadian car, and sat outside all the time, so i had to do major body work repairs from salt damage.
But my problem is i don't know much about these cars, and I plan on keeping this car as my daily driver. I noticed yesterday for the first time in the 6 months i've had it, the engine light came on.. It reset itself when i turned the car off,, can i get an error code from the ecu ??? i beleive these are obd0 ?? so no scan tool option,,, is there a ecu code list somewhere here?? and how do i get the codes?? is it engine light flashes( mine didn't show any) or is there somewhere else i need to look, and how long do the codes stay on the ECU??

The code will be stored in the ECU, there will be a light on the cover of the ECU itself and that is where you get the flashes that OBD1 cars get through there CEL.
Here is a list of codes taken off another Forum:

Thnx a ton GreenBlurr,,,
now how the heck do i determine what code i have?? and does this ecu store more than one code,,, can i go through the history to look at any previous codes??

Yes, if a code is stored it will playback all codes it has. 1 short flash = 1 and 1 long flash = 10.... so if there is 2 long flashes and one short flash thats a code 21. then it will pause between codes and show the second one (if there are any). then will repeat as many times as you want automatically (it will just replay the codes)
