little water problem...

ok, here's the deal...its been raining a bit lately and we got these puddles, you see... now suppose that i went through one and sucked up a little water in the cai. now the engine isnt blown..it actually sounds wierd to say but i think it runs better now that it did before.

i was driving in some back-ass country road and drove through a puddle. it didnt seem to effect it at first, just the belt squeeking from the water but only for a second, then all of a sudden the engine just started boggin out...like it felt like i was trying to start off in fifth gear, there was just no power like everything was slipping. then came the smoke. there was some white smoke coming out if the engine, i couldnt really tell where because it didnt last that long and there was a lot of it. i actually think it might have just been steam. but anyway. i shut it off and let it sit for a while then turned it back on. it made some loud clicking noises then eventually went back to normal. now it seems to run fine.

now there is about 125,000 on the engine so it makes the normal old engine sounds like quiet clicking , usually unnoticeable, but nothing major besides that. but now it doesnt make any sounds at all...and it seems to even run better than it did.

i guess my question is, what are some things that the water could have done that i might not be thinking of?

well the water would eventually just melt away due to the high heat in the engine, cuasing the steam to occur from water on anything hot, as far as getting into the motor, you did the right thing, by turning it off and letting it stop circulating.

you should have by now evaported most of the sucked up fluid, so thats why ur car is back to normal.

well mine was worse lol
i was going down a back road that leads to my house its a farm road
well i went up the hill and it is steep on the otherside well the road was washed out with about 2 feet deep of water and my cai sucked that shit
up without a care but it was to late for me to do anything i hit the water and my car died
well my and my two other friends push it up the hill and park it infornt of a ladys hous on the hill and walk to my house 5 blocks from my car. to get a trailer and bring it home. well the lady calls the cops thinking we were dealing drugs and the sherriff has my car towed i wasnt even gone and hour and a half. i thought it was safe for that lenght of time but nope i was wrong. i got it out the next day for 75 bucks lol.
then i had to bring it home on trailer and take out my spark plugs and crank it over to shoot the water out of the cylinders. put some brand new plugs in and its fine.
