Got mine going finally. Had the fuel pressure problem. Changed fuel pump and that took care of that, but I still did not have power when taking off and car would just chug and die. Noticed that it was missing a little. Found no3 cylinder was the problem. Had new plugs and wires.Decided to take compression test again. Only 50 psi on that one. Pulled head and had a burned valve. Only had 20000 miles on the last valve job. Figured with the low fuel pressure that I had it was running lean. Well got it fixed and running again.

Great job finding and fixing the problem.
I'd still do a fuel pressure check.
And get a plane ticket and help me fix mine!!!!!:grinyes:

By the way.... Would stainless valves cure that problem?
Or would they still burn?
Or would they still burn?

I've checked fuel pressure enough for now. I would think stainless valves would last longer, but would hate to see what they cost. The valve seat would probably go then and a guy would really have a problem then. Although I did cheat a little on mine as I had another head on the shelf ready to go. I just had to wait head gasket and bolts that had to order.

Good for you. Feels good riding in something you fixed.
