spudders

:banghead: my 94 thunderbird has over 150k and a very anoying spudder at about 3000rpms it seems to idle at 1000rpms all the time and it sounds like it has a vacume leek in the back of the intake its my first modular v8 and i havent had the time to tear it appart just want to know if any one else has had this problem and if so whet the heck needs to be done!!!

Welcome to the forum mkr46. Check the vacuum lines leading from the EGR valve at the rear of the engine. There is a tee in the line that is also known to split.

does it sputter and struggle at take off? i have the same problem with my 95. mine sputters like crazy when i take off. theres a small pop from the right cyl head @ 2500rpm and then it hauls ass. the bad sputter at 3grand is when its in park or neutral im assuming because mine does the same thing. do you have a cold air intake? check your vacuum lines. and is you PCV seated right?
