Overheating But The Radiator Does Not Get Hot!!!

Hey everyone, I have a VS commodore, with an overheating problem, i have a brand new radiator, (it does not get hot at all, however the motor itself you could fry an egg on,) and ive been told its a cracked or warped head, ive listened to my motor and it makes a scraping noise on the driver side where the spark plugs are, do you think those people are right? no other problems otherwise :smokin:
