96 Monte Carlo wheel studs HELP!!!

Long story short.... i am replacing my front wheel studs. My problem is when i went to the store to get the studs, I went to 2 different stores and both of the stores gave me wheel studs that were shorter than the stock ones already on there. Also, when replacing the studs, i'm guessing the hub must come off because there is not enough room to slide the old studs out.

So.... does anyone know what the size of the studs should be, and does anyone know the size of the nut that holds the hub on. Quick responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

i have a 95 monte dont know if the same as 96 should be similare. pull brake calipars hang out of way w/zip tie.pull the 4 bolts that hold the bearing on rotate bearing should be a knotch missing punch out old lugs pull new through. hope u have air buy extra lugnuts to use to pull through. washer and a over size nut to use as a spacer will be helpful also. Replaced mine 2 monthes ago with new rims had to grind on brake calipares a little and add 1/8 spacers to make rims work in front. i have been told that rims come from a rear end drive car 2002 impalla good luck wasd not fun but doable

Yes I belive you have to take the hub off. The center nut is like a 24 or 26mm, i forget..

I figured it out, you gotta unbolt the four bolts from the back also and pull it away just enough to slide the new studs in. Not a hard fix, but a pain in the ass to get those 4 bolts off.
