Ecu self-reset????

Does the ecu reset itself?
I've reset it manually before but I unplugged the maf recently, got the 'engine check' and, well, got lazy. a couple of weeks later it disappeared.

just making sure that's right and i didn't screw up by being lazy.

im pretty sure it does. i had an error code for a while and never reset it, but a few weeks later the light went off!

Just unplug the battery terminal to reset the ECU.

ya have to leave it off for a while i think, i tried that a few times and didnt work

i let my check engine light stay on and never reseted my ecu,but after a week or so it went off
