how is everyone today?? Ive been a reader on this forum for a while but this is my first time ever posting. i figured it was time for me to start working on my baby now. so heres my questions....

I want to swap the front and rear seats in my 83 caprice with something from a later model vehicle. Would that just be a matter of fabing some brackets to attach the new seats or will there be issues with finding something the correct size to fit. i currently have split bench with power controls. Box Caprices seem alot bigger than most late model cars.... So if it is a matter of finding something that fits, does anyone know of specific vehicles that i could swap with?

I've heard full size Cadillac seats fit right in.

Well, I am not a mod here, but yes I did swap out to buckets from a '97 Grand Am. Using the base brackets from the Caprice seats (45-45 split bench), they were a direct bolt-in.

With some adapter plates I made I put 93 Bonniville SSEI 12-way buckets in the front of my car. Actually a popular mod for the 94-6 cars.
I have some back problems and the 3 bladder lumbar is great, power side bolsters are nice for when you push the car in corners.

Here are bonnies in a friend's wife's car. The 12-way look the same just there is a controller you have to figure out how to mount in the center console as it has a selector switch and is used for both seats.

My car is under 2 feet of snow and the installation of the console a work in progress. I tried exopying the controller into a console and using SEM to paint it all to match and it is rough and only half color matched. Functions wonderfully though and that is the important part to me.
