Oil Temp Sensor not reading

My oil temp sensor is not working on the Pidash. It shows cold at all times. I disconnected the sensor (which is plumbed into the oil filter canister) to see if it would ohm out. I figure the sensor is somekind of thermocouple, and should show some resistance (a few ohms). All I get is an open circuit.
Can someone with a working oil temp sensor disconnect it, and take a ohm reading?
What else should I look at to determine why the sensor is not reading? Suggestions?
Any idea on where to purchase these sensors?

Not sure how to help you, but I bought a new speed sensor from Gary Jones.

My speed sensor is off I think too, and one other of my sensors seems to be a little off base, I wish I had the software to plug into the PI, I have the manual which I downloaded for free but they want you to buy the cable and software.

During my driving last weekend, the temp sensor actually worked. It came off of "cold" and read 189 degrees after one session. I didn't get the car all that hot since the temps were only in the 50's for most of the day. Water temps never got over 190 degrees. I kept looking at the oil temp, but I only got the one reading. I'm assuming that it's working properly and that you got to get it over 180 degrees to read anything other than cold.

^ Wierd... my oil temp works all the time, but my coolant temp sensor will read COLD until it heats up enough.
