Hello all,
I'm a new member here at automotiveforums.com and I have a question.
I revently bought a 1996 Mitsubishi Galant S. The car was running fine until the other day when I stopped at the gas station it would not start back up. I tried changing the battery and the battery ends because they were decayed a little bit. This however was not the problem. When I turn the key it almost sounds like it wants to do something but it wont turn over or click or anything. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME! Much Appreciated,
Justin

it's kind of like a humming noise. real real real quiet. I know the clock dims out when i turn the key. i cant really tell during the day what the dash lights do.
thanks

give the starter motor a tap with a hammer with key held in start position if this starts it the brushes are worn out either have starter overhauled or fit a new one
