Slow to defrost

I have a 2006 AltimaSE and when I go out to defrost the windshield, it wont defrost. I have the a/c on and the temp control on defrost and the car won't defrost. The heater itself works good; blowing out hot air. The rear defroster works perfect. When I give it gas the defroster works better or when I pull out on the road it warms up real good. What's the use of having a defroster if you have to either scrape your windshield or use the deicer to clean your windows? This car has only 27,000 miles on it. We have just bought this car 3 weeks ago; is there any recalls regarding this situation that anyone knows of.

It's normal for ll cars to do that. When the engine is sitting at idle it won't defrost as fast as it would when its actually in use. So I would say don't worry abut it.
