My wife's grandfather died recently and we have been unable to find the keys to his 1997 Town Car that he left my son. His house is being sold and I need to move the car. How can I get another set of keys? Would a Lincoln dealer be able to make a new set?

I recently broke the only key I had for my 92 Town Car. I called the dealer to see if they could make me a new key from the VIN. They said not for a car as old as mine. If it were a newer car they can. So, your car may be new enough for that.
What I had to do was call the local Pop-A-Lock and they came out to my house and made me a set of new keys. I also had my ignition lock changed out because mine was worn out. Total was $150.00, but would have only been about $90 if all I needed was the keys.
Hope this helps.
