Hi there!
Like the title says, this is the Ligier L2001, which basically never existed in real life!
The model is based on the 1/20 Tamiya Ferrari F2001, decals are from the f1specialties.com conversion set for the Academy Bennetton B195. Since I had an extra F2001 in the 'to do' pile and I sold my second B195 a while ago I knew the one remaining would be an actual Benetton and not a conversion so I thought, what the heck?
This is a pic you get of the JS41 along with the decal and instruction sheet in case someone is wondering how the 'original' would look like:

I apologize for the lack of close-up detail shots but these were as close as I could get with the camera, any closer would end with everything out of focus, besides, it's basically OOB. I wasn't able to completely elimiate this problem in some pics though.
At the beginning of the project the idea was to have a semi detailed engine bay but instead I chose to actually finish it! :grinyes: The cowl can be taken off though. Problem? the darn thing doesn't sit tight, there's a gap by the side pods but I'll just have to live with it I guess.
~Blue is TS50 Mica blue from Tamiya.
~Seat covered with CF decals (I'm aware you can't actually see this)
~Lower rear wing: S27 Hi-Def decals.
~Suspension arms: Painted CF pattern.
Okay, on to the rest of the pictures.

Last but not least, I'd like to thank the guy that built an F1-2000 a while ago as the 7UP Jordan 191, some of you probably have seen it. As soon as I saw that model a few years ago I knew I wanted to do something like that some day. I can't remember his name or where I saw the model so If you are a member here and by chance you read this, thanks!

Thats a real sleek looking F1 car. Even if it's not a real one, it's still gorgeous! Awesome job!
