I have a 2001 Town & Country that has the problem were the radio cuts out after it gets warm. From all indications, the only fix is the replace the radio. I don't want to go to a dealer and spend lots of money. I have found a few deals on the internet, but I do not know how to determine the model of radio I have unless I completely remove it to check. I would prefer to not do this until I have one to replace it with.

Any ideas?

Go aftermarket with something from like crutchfield.com . If you are handy at all this is the way to go as you can get a unit that is a lot better than the factory unit for a little over $100 where a dealer new radio would be 300 . They also give you all the instructions for your vehicle on how to install for free.

Yea, I had thought of doing that. However, I was kind of wanting to stay with a factory model that supports the stearing wheel controls. My inpression was that aftermarket equipment would most likely not support these controls.
