Engine Missing

I have a 1997 Nissian Sentra and it has about 256,000 miles on it. About 2 days ago, the engine started missing slightly while the car was idling. Then today, the check your engine light came on and started blinking and is constantly missing. I have checked the spark plugs, but I have no clue what it could be... someone please help!!!
