HP laptop + TV

Hey all;
My newest laptop that I have a (zd8000 series I believe) has an Adaptec dual TV plus FM radio tuner USB device that works perfectly fine with the computer. On the computer I'm running Windows Media Center. Now, I don't want that computer to be used for the TV anymore, so I installed Media Center on my older HP laptop (ze4125). Install there was fine, and then installed a PCM USB2.0 car for the tuner. I installed the TV tuner drivers from HPs website, and it keeps coming up to install drivers when I hook up the tuner. Anyone have any experience trying to get the tuner card or anything like that switching over. I don't see what the problem is, as the drivers (even taken right off the newer laptop) are where they should be and up-to-date. Any ideas here?
It would be easier if I had internet at home so I can just do everything there. Right now, I download everything at work and take it home and play with it there then. Kind of a pain.

Actually I just found on HPs website a better driver install compared to the other ones I had. Hopefully this one will work. Actually self-extracts itself into a directory before it installs so maybe I can manually take care of it all.

Good luck with it dude, but I know it didnt work on my computer because the graphics card (or so my friend claimed) couldnt handle it. It would start up and as soon as I would get on a channel, it would freeze after 10-20 seconds and I'd have to restart.

Well I haven't even gotten that far yet. Still need the computer to recognize the hardware first. Hopefully the graphics card can handle it. I don't see why not.

Damn Thor you were right. Got the drivers in there and video won't work. SHIT! Haha, I forgot the laptop only has 32mb shared onboard compared to my newer one which has 256mb dedicated for video. Got to be some way around that.

Follow up for thor-man.
There's a reg hack that you do that will supposedly override some DX checking and make it work without freezing and errors. I'm going to try it when I get home later today and see what happens. Hope it works.
