96 chevy silverado 350 vortex Electrical problems!

Hello all I am trying desperately :banghead: to try to figure out what is the matter with my truck! I install sattellite and my truck is the way I make a living! SO now that its acting up its got me worried! This is whats been happening, We will be riding down the road and the truck will just cut off! Shuting off the radio and resetting it. It seems to reset the computer on the truck the trip mileage goes back to zero! Sometimes it blinks off while driving like it wants to shut off but doesnt! THen other times it will just shut off completely! This morning it wouldnt do anything, it wouldnt turn over or even make a sound! we thought that it was a relay going bad. We pulled out the relay and put it back and it fired! Then we thought maybe it was a ignition going bad! I was hoping someone might know what is causing it to do this! IT is really important that we figure this out or I may be without a job! Any help anyone can give me is much appreciated! you can also reach me at [email protected]

Make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight. Also check the ground on the engine and the B+ terminal on the starter. Check for anything loose around where you removed the relay from.
