The Bullitt Gets Some Races

This weekend was in the 60's and so me and some buddies decided to go out cruising. We get on the highway and just start looking around for any nice cars, found none and so decided to do some runs with each other.

First race- I get lined up with my buddies RSX-S, I/H/E K-Pro and SC at 9psi. I get beaten everytime, got one on video starting out at 40. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTGrpmO81_s

2nd race- My other friend has an RSX-S as well, but just a CAI on it. I line up with him at 60 and put it in 3rd. I honk it off and we hit it. He instantly drops back and i pull about 3 car lengths to 95 when I see him give it up.

3rd- He wants to go again, same speed so I oblige. This time I get into 4th gear and the race ends at 120 where he is about 5-6 cars back.

4th- While these were going on, my friend found an SL55 AMG and began to pace him. It was an older guy with his daughter and he actually decides to use his gas pedal instead of the usual old man way of buying an expensive fast car and driving 35 everywhere. The go at around 55 and my friend puts about a half car-car length on him up to 100. I looked up the stats on them and they have a 5.4l sc making 493hp and 516tq. Too bad its over 2 tons...:banghead:


It was some fun time, and now that the weather is warming up a little I'm sure theres going to be alot more interesting stuff on the roads, now I just gotta race something other then an RSX haha.

I took it to the track when it was running 7psi (im currently running 10psi), stock clutch (which I later found out was broken), too small of injectors, stock flywheel, restrictive ass exhaust, and I still ran a 13.8 at 104mph. I am hoping to get 13.1 at 110mph the next time I go...I've made a few more modification. While I was racing the bullitt in this vid the Clutch Master Cylinder (stock) was not strong enough to push the stiffer pressure plate of my stage 4 clutch so I could not shift gears worth shit:(

Bullitt is a 5 speed, in the video I was in 2nd gear going 40, when I raced the rsx with CAI we were going 60 and I was in the bottom of 3rd.

This was in Raleigh NC.

i don't ever see any racing in Raleigh or Durham since i moved back...mabey i'm looking in the wrong places or b/c i drive a Land Cruiser now :(

The Land Cruiser def isn't helping things haha, I just end up looking for highway stuff or get some people to go cruising, all the stoplight stuff is too dangerous now most of the time.

have you seen that turbo Acura TL or RL...seen it once in passing here in Durham..white with a huge fmic with cf hood and trunk i believe

Nah I dont get out to Durham alot, last time I was there was in October heading to Duke. Most of what find is on 440, 540, and Capital

I just moved to Durham from Raleigh last year

If everything goes right...which I hope it does...i'll be picking up a turbo NX2000 or a G20 and do a GTiR or Bluebird swap...wouldn't mind getting another Civic, but I wanna do something different...leaning more towards the G20

I think I'm in the wrong state. Only races I see in SC are between diesel trucks... dura-max vs. super-duty :lol:

RSX-S is nice.
Bullett is nice too.
Good races...

IMO there was a lot more going on in Va than there is in this area...
