WTB: Receiver / Surround Sound

Yo yo...
Looking to buy a stereo receiver with or without surround sound (2.1 - 7.1). I know you people got some spares laying around. Just need to be able to hook up my computer and xbox up to the TV through a receiver. If it has speakers, even better. I got decent L/R speakers with came with the larger boom box that i'm using now, but looking for more if you have. Pics a must. Let me know everyone! Shipping to 60638. Doesn't need to be new, but in good shape.

I have a reciever that I dont use. Great shape and it sort of works. It turns on fine but goes straight in to protection mode. If your good with electronics maybe you can fix it.

What's protection mode? Brand/model?

These steros have a saftly mode in them so that if there is a problem it will go into 'protection' mode to keep from frying something. Like say you crossed speaker wires by accident it would go into this mode for a few minutes to keep from shorting out till you fix the problem.
The problem with this one was that it would go into protection mode at higher volumes, now it seems to stay in that mod with nothing hooked to it. I will try to find the model #. I also dont have the stereo here so I cant mesh with it any.

I really dont remember. It will be a few weeks before I can get my hands on it.

I'll probably have one by then. Getting my media center and entertainment center all setup in the next week, week and a half, hopefully. But we'll see.
