:) On Saturday Feb. 9th 2008, I watched my truck odometer turn 100,000! My truck, 99 Silverado 4x4 extrnded cab. I got it used in 2002 at 65,000 miles. Are there certain things on the truck that need replaced at this point?

at that millage plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter, pcv valve. look over all the vacume hoses and check the connections at the battery.
antifreeze should be changed out. trans fluid and filter and change the fluid in the diferentials.
check over front end and an alingment would be on my list.
I would also have the drive train checked at the same time the front end is getting looked over, u-joints ect.
these are things that should have been done prior to this millage so you would have to figuar what you did and what is left to do

don't forget to overlook transfer case fluid this should be replaced every 30-40,000mi. even if you do not use 4x4 as the fluid looses is lubrication abilities. when replacing plugs use silicone grease inside boots. use meter and check for wire resistance should be 500-700ohms. i know your not gonna do this but at 100,000mi your o2 sensors are in need of replacement.if you wait for them to fail [throw code] you will damage the cat's. o2 replacement upsteam ones esp. will increase gas mileage...........flush heater core when r/r coolant and install new thermostat...use distilled water with dex cool. run engine with cap off to remove air in system when filling..

My 1999 Silverado has 156K on it. I bought it in 2006 when it had 151K. Supposedly it had a new tranny, transfer case, and differential installed shortly before I bought it.
