Jaguar V8 swap?

I've been building up cars for a while now, but i have yet to do an engine swap. I would like to do a V8 conversion on a 280z, and i know that its been done before with a VH45DE.

Jaguar v8s are relatively affordable and powerful, and i think a jag motor would make for a mean 280z :evillol:, especially with the supercharged XJR variant @360 hp.

I was wondering if anyone has any idea if a jaguar v8 from an XJ8 would work. Has anyone done this, or does anyone know if its possible? Would the engine fit (i think yes), and what tranny would be best to use?

honestly if you have to ask, you won't be able to do it, or it will be too expensive.

i would think you'd be the first to do this, so you're prettymuch on your own. the guys at hybridz.org might be able to help you out more, but you'll need to do more research to get any help from them
