96 Town Car Heater Problems

My heater on my 1996 Town car is not getting warm. I've checked the water and it is going to the heater OK from the engine. Nothing is leaking. The fan is working, but only on high and low speeds. Any thoughts?

Sounds like a blend door problem. Possible cause could be the blend door module or one of the vac. pots under the dash. On the earlier 90s TC's there are 3 or 4 vac. pots. I don't know about the 96. I would check to see if the vac. pots are moving freely. You should be able to move them by hand. You could also have a vac. leak. Listen for any leaks. :2cents:

That Fan Speed issue might be the infamous Blower Speed Control transistor came loose.
Most of us with that problem had only HIGH speed.. re-soldering the transistor back to the circuit board fixes it. Some folks just replaced the BSC too.
