#1 Does anyone know how to reset the computer.....when I filled up the other day I held the two buttons to reset the fuel mileage calculator and the function that estimates how many km's you can drive is tottally out to lunch....on a full tank it reads I can go 366kms......whereas in the past I've seen it read like 650km ....what is causeing the misread???

#2. I read in a ealier post about a shakey gas needle on the gauge.....I too have a needle that shakes....I've looked for the ground on the frame but need a little futher direction as to where this could be found....if it's not the ground what could this be???

The fuel consumption calculation is based upon an average of current fuel mileage. If you have been driving short trips, idling more, not logging highway miles, and not getting the engine up to temperature for sustained periods, the calculation might be skewed lower.

The fuel level also affects the calculation for miles remaining. If the fuel level sender signal is not steady, the PCM may not have a good idea of the actual fuel level. The electrical connector on top of the fuel tank and the sender itself are prime suspects in this case.
