'94 GC security system won't deactive

We changed a wheel on the '94 GC Limited.
Now it won't start. When I turn the key the security system starts - dash lights flash, headlights flash, continuous clicking in the dash, won't turn over. To get it to stop I have to lock the door from the outside with the key.
How do I correct this? I've tried locking and unlocking the doors repeatedly.

After searching a bit I read about similar problems others have had. I tried disconnecting the battery cables, cleaned the contacts and reconnected. That made no difference. I tried a differenct key(we have no remote keybob) and that made no difference either.
My son recently installed a new CD player. The car worked fine afterward. He was playing it while he was changing the wheel just before the security system problem began. Might there be a problem with the wiring to the CD player that could cause the security system to activate?

Hello Dave,
I solved this problem by loosening/tightening the harness contacts on the Drivers side door. It's inside a rubber boot that goes from the body to the door, between the hinges. Mind you, I found alot of insulation had cracked and fallen off of the individual wires, so I had a grand time subsequently of replacing wires and taping things back up. I suspect that the bare alarm wires in that harness had grounded, caused the recurring alarm.

I didn't have to get to your suggestion. I was able to jump start it last night. We let it run for 15 minutes afterward and it started fine today. The battery must have just been low as my son had been using the CD player while he was changing the wheel. And it's been really cold here the past few days. We dropped it off tonight at a shop to have the wheel studs replaced on one wheel and my son told me the dash lights were flashing the whole way over. Guess I'll be looking into that when we get it back.
