I have a 98 3.8 liter Grand Voyager. So far with the help of this forum I have done everything on it myself except for the transmission. Butttttttt, I've finally found something I can't figure out. My belt tension or pulley is out of alignment so I decided to change it because it kept thowing the belt. First I just changed the pulley but that didn't fix it so today I bough another belt tensioner. I know there's only one bolt but I can't get to it. I took the alternator off and tried that but I still couldn't reach it.
Does anyone know how to get to that bolt?

I replaced one a bunch a years ago. I remember I had to go pretty much by feel from under the van and I didn't remove anything to get at it. I had to reach up past the power steering pump. I used standard sockets. Nothing special. I remember the wife was up top to help guide me to it.

I just did this in the fall on my neighbors 2000 3.3L. It looks like the same job on my 3.8. I had to remove the alternator and get to the bolt from under the engine. It took a while. While the alternator was out of the way, I replaced the plugs since I could get around to the back of the engine.
