99' escort computer location

We cannot find the damn computer for my 99 Ford Escort SE Sport. We've looked under the seats and in the trunk no luck. Is it behind the glove box or in the center under the shifter?

update: after taking the center console apart we found that the computer is lodged under the radio, incidentally the brain for the whole car is strategically placed right behind the cup holders......:screwy:
