I recently bought my 3rd riviera, first one I regretted selling so i bought a 2nd one, I ended up giving it to my daughter after she totaled her car. So, i bought another on a few weeks ago. Love the Riv!! What a fine car! Got to work out a few bugs though. I have 2 other posts asking for input to some problems. Here is another one: My outside temp reading flashes for around a minute after startup, at about 1 second intervals, then reads correctly with no flashing on/off. AND when i set my temp to say 75 and in 'auto' mode, the fan will be on low for a while, then it will go full speed for about 2 seconds and then low again, about every 5 minutes give or take it will do it again. Manual mode works just fine. Anyone had this problem? Which part fixed it? Thanks for any and all input, i want my riv to be problem free, the bugs got to go! :)

The flashing light indicates that you have a fault in the system, the only way to find the fault is with an A/C capable scanner. Most A/C service centers, or a GM Dealer, can diagnose this. Has anyone changed the battery recently?

Thanks for the input. The battery has not been changed recently as far as I know. I had it disconnected for a day when a had a problem with the ground( see my post on lighting problem) wire from my battery. The battery is glowing green (good) and car starts ie strong battery. What ae you thinking is going on? Can a quick scan at autozone tell me a fault code or only a dealer? ( I loaned my reader out and have not gotten it back yet)
