94 3.4L Cutlass Supreme Convertible knocking bad! Please Help!!!

My 94 Cutlass is knocking really bad!! it sounds like I broke a rod, but i checked and everthing is fine! It all started when it stalled on me for no reason, and when i tried to start it, nothing happened! Then, someone gave me a jump, and the car started, but then it started making this knocking sound that i am talking about! I have heard from some people that it may have something to do with my timing, could this be true?? if it is, can someone tell me what timing component is bad and how to fix it?? Welcome to AF, no one here can accurately diagnose an engine noise, this has to be done on site, have some one familiar with this type of repair listen to it.
