Rear suspension suggestions

New to this forum, but had the Venture since 98.

I have a problem with the car's rear air suspension. I don't know for sure whether it's the compressor or the shocks. The rear end is very "bouncy" and it feels like both sides are effected...which leads me to believe the compressor or a hose is faulty. The compressor does run, but the ride stays bumpy.

Has anyone got any experience with converting this type of rear-end to a standard coil/shock setup? If so, what are my choices?

TIA,
Robert

I had the same symptoms until my 97's rears started to leak and loose their support. They then felt like regular shocks. The fuse to the compressor then went since it was probably working OT to keep the pressure up.Since I unfortunately carry a large family around a lot, I had Evan's tire put in aftermarket similar air shocks at to th OEM's (but much cheaper). The ride in the rear returned to prior to them leaking condition. If you look at a few other posts on this, I think those folks would have preferred to replace with the air shocks vs just regular Monroes or similar. I think the small difference in price is definitely worth it. Corey

Rock auto has the stock airshocks @ about $240 for the pair
