87' century cutting out

I have an 87' buick century with a 3.8L, it seems to run great when first started but when it gets a little warm it starts to spit and sputter, and if i stop at a stop sign it will die and i have wait a few seconds to start it up again, please help the re are so many things that could be wrong with it?:banghead:
