Passenger-side Wiper not working

My passenger side wiper isnt wiping; we've been having blizzard weather and I think some heavy packed snow prevented it from coming down all the way. It would stop at about 1/4 up, drivers side with no problems. Since it was blizzarding out and I needed my wipers, I dug any snow out from the base of the wiper, but it still wouldn't retract all the way. I pushed the whole unit back into place with the wipers off, then tried it, worked fine. When I used them again, the passenger side wiper shudders instead of moving, although if you gently push it up, it will move up and down its intended path but then stop again and do the shudder for each cycle. Know anything I could do?

If anyone wants to know, I probably stripped the splines in the arm or on the motor-side.

You need a special tool to pop the arm off (take off cap, remove screw, pop off using the tool) which I don't have, so it'll be a trip the dealer or someone else tomorrow. I keep you informed of what happens. And snow blows.

those wipers arms will come off. I used a pry bar and a piece of wood.

Well, worked out well for me; turns out the screw that connects the arm was just loose. Very odd, because we tightened it and also took it off then tightened it, to no effect. Maybe it was ice, maybe it was the dealer having magic socket wreches.

So if your wiper doesn't work, try to tighten that screw down!
