i got an 89 nissan 240sx hatchback with 2 12' type R's and a massive rs50 amp. anyways, my subs periodically cut out (for some reason usually they come back on when im breaking). Also, when i lean on the sub box they are on, but when i stop leaning they turn off. I checked the connection to the outside of the box and it looks fine. could it be a connection inside the box? thanx

how are the subs wired inside the box (series, parallel, etc ...). It could be that the speaker wires are loose and short out the amp when the box is moved to different angles.

I dont know how theyre wired. (although i did when i got them over a year ago). Maybe ill try oppin everything out and take a look inside. The little knobs that the speaker wire attaches to (on the box) have a hole perpendicular to the knob. do i need to stick the wire in that hole then down the knob?

Yes, the wire goes in the hole then you tighten it down and that makes the connection.
