Hi Folks,
I have had my truck for 4 years and have never had any alarm problems until now.
Within the past week, sometimes, when I unlock the door the alarm goes off. I normally use a copied key (thought that could be the culprit initially), then I tried the original key and it still went off. Also I tried unlocking the other side and it went off as well.
I checked the alarm and it seems to be connected.
I am wondering what the culprit could be? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

What kind of alarm is it?
Doesn't it have a remote to turn it off first?

It's stock. I do not have the remote, but it was never an issue.

Thanks Bra, it looks helpful. I will take a closer look at it.
I actually found the alarm (I did not know where it was located initially) and made sure it was connected properly. It hasn't given me any trouble today. So if it holds up I am not going to worry about.
Thanks again!

It's weird, it's intermittent. It went a few days without giving me problems, now it's acting up. I tried disconnecting it but some type of kill switch prevents me from starting it. At this point I would rather do away with the security alarm; I do not need it.
Perhaps someone can give me some pointers on how to bypass the kill switch so I can disconnect the security system and start the truck?
Thanks.

The alarm can't be removed but that link shows how to permanently disarm it.
