I think Summit had the best price on the 4 bbl Offenhauser intake.
As for exhaust, I've been toying with looking at Jeep parts for mine, But look like some modifying may be required.

summit also has a 2bbl to 4bbl adapter for $15, this is more what i was thinking, where could i get a daul exhaust header?
would it be worth it to replace the cam with a performance one?
or just bore it out
which one would i gain more power from?

I don't think the 'adapter' provides the gain you would have in mind as the intake ports will still be the same size for the 2bbl. Additionlly I think it woul dmake setting the ignition up to work with the extra fuel a bit more tricky :dunno:
As for the exhaust, the only way I've come up with a "dual" set up thus far is a dual exit muffler. Then pipe it around the tank as close to the axle as possible. However since the trunk floor of mine has some rott to it, I plan on freeing up some extra room for this with a cell hung inbetween the frame rails to help aide in the heat issue from the close exhaust.
Truely, going with the 4 barrel intake, and a 2.75-3" exhaust, a good amount of "grunt" can be achieved. Certainly adding a cam to the mix would help. As for the selection, i would think that since a I6 is good on torque, i would search out acam with a bit more lift to benefit the improved intake and exhaust which would net a higher power band and up the top end hp out. :dunno: One thing with that tho, are you running a auto or manual trans?

If you go with a different cam, you may need to match the torque converter to the cam specs, that's if you do a really dramatic cam change tho, which shouldn't be neccessary.
As for boring, I wouldn't only because we're talking about 40+ year old cars here, of a rarer breed. With mine I don't want to do anything that would prevent returning it back to a 'stock' nature. Plus, for shows, alot of folks dig the nostalgia effect. And, there was a '68 Rogue in Hot Rod a few years back with nearly the same setup I'm running with and the numbers were pretty decent. i'll have to look for it and post em up.

good point
wat are you doing about the exaust?
i was thinkin either runnin a 3'' pipe from the stock manifold through a cherry bomb or gettin a header with the dual exhaustpipe
which would be better? and where could i get a header, i know they make them but where could i find one?

As stated, I wouldn't bother with the header, it would be much easier to go with a dual exit muffler.

you can buy a high performance camshaft from northernautoparts.com. they have several performance camshafts for that engine.
