Headlight Dimmed.

Recently, I noticed that my passenger side headlight was dim but the driver side was not. To gain more light I turned on my high-beams but when doing this all of my headlights went out only leaving me with my fog lights and side blinkers on. After speaking with my mechanic, he says that he believes that there is a ground problem, possibly a loss or broken wire. I have traced all of the wiring and found no signs of excessive wear on the wires, battery acid that has deteriated that wires or anything out of the norm. I was wondering if there was anyone with an idea to this problem. I am thinking about replacing the DRL relay since my DRL's no longer function. HELP!:banghead:

After check all voltage to the bulbs, I am now thinking of several ideas. My brother informed me there was a GM service bulletin regarding an electrical module or something. this costs like 500 and needs to be programmed to the computer. the other option is to look into replacing the switch which is on the steering column.:banghead:
