BLINKING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT = SERIOUS PROBLEM
It is without a doubt a misfire. If you have it checked out your gonna probably get a po30X code (x = 1-8) it will tell you which cylinder is misfiring.

the reason your car shakes while stopped is mounts or o2 sensors or fouled plugs broken vacuum line it could also be you knocked your balancer into a different position from gunning it alot check the ballencer last light blinking is emissions you need your computer checked or clear it and see if it comes back on,i know this because i have a 99 mustang that vibrated heavely inpark and drive it ended up being the ballencer

If you can't get to an auto parts store to scan it, then unhook the pos and neg terminals of the battery for a few minutes. Then restart. Sometimes this can reset the comp and clear the codes, but a major fault will return anyway. So, getting a scan will be your best bet for anything 96 and up.
Not having the car to look at, I'd check things like the plugs, wires, cap n rotor (if applicable), coils etc. I'd check the electronic things first then the motor mounts etc. Chances are it's misfiring/skipping. So make sure it is tuned up first.
