I am having a problem with my 2003 1500HD pickup. The passenger side window will go down with no problem. Going up, it will go about 1/2 way then stop. It does not seem like it is the motor, but more like it is "tight".
Any ideas??
Thanks.

i use silicone spray on rubber with window all the way down. let silicone get absorbed into rubber then wipe off excess. the other thing is remove door panel and white lithium grease on all window regulator cables. dispite my care with this flawed design i have had to replace the window regulators on each window. i do not use my windows much .........the cables rust out........GM planed failure..........

The gm reg kits are better then the after markets , I know 2002 chevy truck 2 on the drivers side 3 on the pass side 64,000 Do not put the windows up and down much... If you buy the dorman kit from advanced auto I thing it has a lifetime warr .... Price around 100.00 ...

to say the GM kits are better I don't understand this as I have replaced many of these which were all OEM parts that failed. so far no aftermarket part has failed with these higher quality 1A Auto window regulators kits.
as we all know the GM kit fails there is no warrantee. the cables rust out, and they cost about 240.oo EA with a discount applied.
I got two units from 1A Auto for about 125.00 lft/rt.
I also observed the cables appeared to be of a larger guage wire.
ON my vehicle I have removed the door panels since these installs and so far the cables are not with any rust.
